Sharon Osbourne May Be Fired From ‘The Talk’, May Receive A Big Settlement
New rumored details continue to surface surrounding the Sharon Osbourne controversy and ‘The Talk’. According to a Page Six source the 68-year-old talk show host is now allegedly expecting to be fired, but is expected to receive a “sizeable” settlement/payout upon her departure.
According to the site, show runners and joint executive producers Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews may allegedly take some of the blame for the incident, as they did not allegedly prep Sharon Osbourne for her conversation with Sheryl Underwood.
As previously reported, the network recently announced a second extension for the daytime talk show’s hiatus.
It’s not clear when the show will come back on the air. The Talk first went on hiatus last week in light of Sharon Osbourne’s controversial comments in defense of Piers Morgan, who was accused of making racist remarks against Meghan Markle.

It was only supposed to be off the air Monday (March 15th) and Tuesday (March 16th).
The network then released a statement and said the hiatus would go for another week, and the show would return on March 23rd.
“CBS is committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace across all of our productions. We’re also very mindful of the important concerns expressed and discussions taking place regarding events on ‘The Talk.’ This includes a process where all voices are heard, claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken where necessary. The show will extend its production hiatus until next Tuesday [March 23rd] as we continue to review these issues.”
At that time, former The Talk co-host Leah Remini told journalist Yashar Ali that Sharon Osbourne also made racist remarks against former co-host Julie Chen. According to Leah Remini, Sharon Osbourne allegedly referred to Julie Chen, who is Asian, as “wonton” and “slanty eyes.”
She also called Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, a “p**** licker.”
