Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Trend On Twitter Amid Reports Of Prince Philip’s Death

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are currently trending on Twitter amid the reports that Prince Philip, the longtime spouse of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, has passed away. Buckingham Palace announced today, Friday, April 9, that Prince Philip has died at the age of 99. According to reports, The Duke of Edinburgh passed away at Windsor Castle early this morning, following a recent stay in the hospital. The royal family released a statement about Prince Philip’s passing via their official website that said:

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

 

Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no connection to Prince Philip’s death, the pair are currently trending on Twitter.
