YFN Lucci Named In ‘Unprecedented’ Racketeering Indictment Related To Gang Activity
YFN Lucci’s legal woes are still very present.
After he was released on bail in February, for his alleged involvement in a fatal drive-by, YFN Lucci (born Rayshawn Bennett) is now one of several individuals named in a racketeering indictment, according to Atlanta’s WSB-TV.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis spoke on the 75-page post, which details 105 counts of racketeering inside the Blood street gang.
Willis told WBS-TV reporter Mark Winne,
“This indictment is unprecedented. Period. In Georgia…There’s been a huge spike in violent crime. I made a commitment to bring the best and the brightest minds here, many of which you see sitting here right now so that we could deal with this issue of this violent crime.”
GBI Gang Task Force Special Agent in Charge Ken Howard added,
“Of the national gang, criminal street gang the bloods, there’s at least four subsets involved in this particular indictment and investigation.”
Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat also said,
“Some people don’t understand the depth in which the gangs have infiltrated, for lack of a better word, our communities and its time for them to go.”
“He’s not a gang member. What he is is an internationally recognized musical artist that is a triple platinum winner, that has performed all over the United States and all over the world. I think that it sends a significant message, a profound message that regardless of your status that the City of Atlanta and Fulton County in partnership is coming after you if you violate the crimes in our county, in our city.”
