Kodak Black Faces Backlash From Housing Authority Of Pompano Beach In Florida For Donating A/C Units To Project Residents
Kodak Black may have recently performed a good deed, but that’s not stopping Florida officials from taking issue with the rapper!
Back in July, Kodak Black (real name Bill Kahan Kapri) donated numerous A/C units to a South Florida housing project. Specifically, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper personally delivered the air conditioning units to residents of the Golden Acres Projects in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida. Many residents were grateful to receive the A/C units in the midst of a humid Florida summer.
However, it turns out that his helpful deed caught some backlash from the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach (HAPB). According to reports, the HAPB sent Kodak Black a cease and desist letter last month. In the letter, the housing authority accused Kodak Black of causing disturbances on the premises by playing loud music, and they even took issue with the rapper installing A/C units into the apartments. In part, the HAPB wrote:
“[Kodak Black’s] actions have adversely impacted the Property’s residents’ right to peacefully enjoy the property.”
However, Kodak Black‘s lawyer–Bradford Cohen–denies the housing authority’s claims. According to the attorney, Kodak Black was not causing any disturbances. He adds the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach is shamefully:
“Wish[ing] to stop the assistance to the elderly and underprivileged during a heat wave and 2 year pandemic.”
