Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Oprah Interview Booed By Audience At British Television Awards Show
It seems like everyone isn’t here for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview that took place earlier this year with Oprah Winfrey. Thursday night (September 9) the annual National TV Awards (NTAs), which is a British television awards ceremony, took place and things got a little interesting. During the event, a montage of tv clips from the year, relating to British culture, was shown to the audience. According to reports, when a segment from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was shown on the screen the NTAs’ venue erupted in boos. An unidentified audience member said,
“As soon as Meghan and Harry appeared on screen the audience started booing and then everyone joined in, it was really loud and funny.”
However, reports claim that the booing was not picked up by the live broadcast, and viewers at home were not aware of what happened.

As previously reported, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held nothing back this past March during their viral interview with well-known media personality/businesswoman Oprah Winfrey. During their sit down with Oprah, which was initially viewed by 17 million people globally, the couple revealed the various alarming factors that led them to step away from the royal family. One shocking allegation the couple shared was someone from the royal family expressing concern over the color of their son’s skin. Meghan Markle said,
“I can give you an honest answer. In those months when I was pregnant, all around the same time – we had in tandem the conversation of ‘He’s not gonna be given security, he’s not gonna be given a title’, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

They also revealed that when they arrived in America to start their new lives Tyler Perry assisted them with living arrangements because they had been financially cut off and stripped of their security.
