Quavo Claims Migos Invented The Triple Flow Style Of Rap But Fans Say It Was Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Is there anything the Migos didn’t invent?

In a new interview, Quavious Keyate Marshall, professionally known as Quavo, 30, claims that his group, the Migos, started the triple flow style of rap.

When asked what he felt the Migos invented, Quavo said,

“The triplet flow for sure. Yea, the triplet flow. Wasn’t nobody doing it before we came in and right now everybody’s doing it and it’s a blessing.”

However, after hearing his response, fans and followers disagreed with the Atlanta rapper and felt he was overlooking groups like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and many other rap legends.

Here are some of their reactions.

Quavo also addressed a comment rapper and actor David Banner made about the group being ripped off by others but not receiving their credit. Speaking on whether he agrees if others taking their style, Quavo said,

“Yes, most definitely, they just don’t want to give credit. You don’t want to come in being new and say you took somebody style or say you got the style or that you were influenced by too many young people cause you don’t know how people will take it, so it’s all good.”

This is not the first time a member of the Migos has made a major claim. Back in June, while talking with Billboard, Offset, shared his thoughts on the group making trap music mainstream. During his interview he said,

“We made this trap [style] go pop. They don’t talk about that. We made trap go pop talking about selling pounds and bricks, and we hit Billboard No. 1. Hip-hop artists weren’t going No. 1 like that, but now it just be ‘bang, bang, bang.” 

At this time, there is no comment from any member of Bone Thugs N Harmony but Quavo responded to the remarks and doubled down on his stance.
