Wendy Williams Spotted Getting Pushed In Wheelchair While Out & About In New York City
Wendy Williams was recently seen in public as she continues to focus on her recovery.
She was spotted in a wheelchair in New York City this past Friday (Sept. 24th). Specifically, the 57-year-old TV host was seen getting pushed by an assistant as her son–Kevin Hunter Jr.–held her bags and escorted her on an errand.
This public sighting is the latest update regarding Wendy Williams‘ health and wellbeing. Back on Sept. 9th, a spokesperson for The Wendy Williams Show announced that Wendy Williams was “dealing with some ongoing health issues.”

Later, on Sept. 15th, it was revealed that Wendy tested positive for COVID-19 and needed time to recover and quarantine. As a result, the season 13 premiere was pushed back to early October.

Shortly thereafter, Wendy Williams was voluntarily hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation. Reportedly, ahead of this hospitalization, Wendy was allegedly “drinking every day, even while filming the show.” One insider claimed:
“Everyone is an enabler because they don’t want to lose their job. They see it, they know it, they smelled the liquor… Her staffers are worried but no one is ever going to speak up because they don’t want to lose their jobs. She’s an alcoholic. A bad one. She doesn’t need a talk show, she needs help.”
Days after this revelation, Wendy Williams was reportedly “home and improving every day.” One source stated:
“Wendy is on the mend, and doing well. There was a meeting this week, and [execs] assured staff the show will return on Oct. 4., and Wendy is ready to get back to work.”
We continue to wish Wendy Williams a successful recovery!
