Mike Tyson Reveals He Got Vaccinated For COVID-19 After Getting ‘Beaten Into Submission’: I Didn’t Do It Willingly
Mike Tyson is sharing his story behind getting vaccinated for coronavirus.
Recently, Mike Tyson dished on how he felt pressured to get the COVID-19 vaccine. While he is indeed vaccinated, the 55-year-old heavyweight champion revealed it wasn’t his own decision to go through with it. He stated:
“I didn’t do it willingly. I’m a little apprehensive of that. I was pretty much beaten into submission to do this because I travel internationally. And if I don’t travel, we don’t eat. So I decided to take the risk and take the shot. And people, they have their own choice. I never got sick.”
Mike Tyson went on to speculate that he thinks he could’ve previously had COVID, saying:
“I was coughing a lot and I was in this place with a lot of people. The whole day I was just coughing, throwing up water, so I was dehydrated.”
He then added:
“I might have caught it, but I feel great now. I really feel well. The best I ever felt.”

Mike Tyson‘s comments come on the heels of another sports figure sharing he felt pressured to get the COVID vaccine. Recently, Golden State Warriors player Andrew Wiggins said he felt the NBA “forced” him to get vaccinated:
“The only options were to get vaccinated or not play in the NBA. It was a tough decision. Hopefully, it works out in the long run and in 10 years I’m still healthy.”
Andrew Wiggins later added:
“It feels good to play, but getting vaccinated, that’s going to be something that stays in my mind for a long time. It’s not something I wanted to do, but I was forced to.”
