Tamar Braxton Says Braxton Family Values Has Been The #1 Black, All Female Family Show For The Last Decade, But Has Not Received Recognition Or Fair Compensation

Tamar Braxton Says “The Braxton Family Values” Has Been The #1 Black, All Female Family Show For The Last Decade, But Has Not Received Recognition Or Fair Compensation
How do you respond when you’ve done your job, but haven’t been compensated? Receiving recognition for your work may be nice, but receiving fair compensation is only right. According to Tamar Braxton, she and her family received neither for their work on Wetv’s The Braxton Family Values.
The songstress, who once cited that the Braxton’s were being paid a whopping 75% less than the Kardashians, posted a group shot of the Braxton sisters on her Instagram feed this week with the following caption:
“Ya wanna know a fun fact? We have been the only #1 black all female family show for the past 10 years and have NEVER been nominated or been fairly compensated for ANYTHING!! Sometimes you have to be your OWN flower. We love each other and get along better than ever now. Let that sink in. We forgive you. #FOREVERTHEBRAXTONGIRLS”

Over the years, Tamar Braxton has openly spoken about tension with the Wetv network, which is currently home to shows like “Growing Up Hip Hop”, “Brat Loves Judy”, and “Bridezilla.” The tension had risen to the point of literally no return as the show disappeared after it’s 7th season. We reported on an appearance that Tamar Braxton made last October in which she teased that the show may be returning, but not on it’s original network.

At that time, Tamar had this to say in reference to the show’s return:
“How many of y’all miss ‘Braxton Family Values?’ What if I told you ‘Braxton Family Values’ is coming back? Not on a foolish network I can tell you that.”

In reference to the demise of Wetv’s “The Braxton Family Values,” Tamar Braxton has been vocal about her discomfort with the way her family was portrayed on the show. The insinuation seems to be that the network’s production team may have been hyper focused on conflict and entertainment value, rather than authenticity in the best interest of the family. Production on the show may not ever return via Wetv, but it seems that unfinished business may be hanging in the balance.
