Ari Lennox ‘Amicably’ Parts Ways With Black Wax Management Company
Singer Ari Lennox is rounding out the first quarter of the new year with a fresh yet peaceful start.
The Dreamville singer and her management company Black Wax have made the decision to “amicably” part ways, a representative confirmed to theJasmineBRAND. According to the statement,
“Ari Lennox and her management team Black Wax amicably decided to part ways. Lennox first signed with the company in 2012. She still considers them family and is beyond thankful for the business ventures and memories. She’s currently working on her sophomore album and is excited for the future endeavors that are in store for her.”
Ari Lennox first signed with the company in 2012, with news of the split coming as the “Pressure” singer teased new music on social media.
In a recent post shared on Twitter, Ari Lennox can be seen standing beside a dry erase board that lists the names of 80 tracks, including “No Settling,” “Waste My Time,” “Wet Ya,” “Cruella,” and “Winnie The Pooh.”


Lennox released her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby in May 2019 while still under Black Wax. The album’s title track, which features rapper J. Cole, is the first in her career to earn Lennox Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Lennox is now on the hunt for new management as she continues to work on her sophomore album.
