Time to send Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas some healing energy, as he was recently hospitalized due to health issues.
According to reports, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, 73, was hospitalized over the weekend and is currently bed-ridden. The SCOTUS’s Office of Public Information revealed in an announcement made yesterday (March 20) that Clarence Thomas had been admitted to Sibley Memorial in D.C. on Friday (March 18) after experiencing flu-like symptoms. Following a few tests, he was ultimately diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics.

Thankfully, Thomas’ symptoms are already fading away and he’s expected to be released from the hospital within a couple of days. Despite being on bed rest, Thomas will still continue to weigh in on cases to be considered for the Supreme Court, however, only on the basis of briefs, transcripts, and audio of oral arguments. Thomas is said to be vaccinated and has received the booster shot as well. His illness is reportedly not COVID-related.
In other Supreme Court Justice news, Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, 51, is scheduled to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee today (March 21) for the start of her confirmation hearings. As previously reported, President Joe Biden, 79, recently made headlines after he nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for a seat on the Supreme Court. If confirmed by the Senate, she will be the first Black woman to serve on the high court. The hearings are reportedly scheduled to last 4 days.
