Lil Nas X Says He’s Going Even Harder After Not Winning A Grammy
Country rap star Lil Nas X, 22, was one of the many nominees in attendance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, nominated for five different categories. The Grammy’s were held on Sunday (April 3) at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Lil Nas X, real name Montero Lamar Hill, was nominated for Album of the Year for Montero, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance for Industry Baby and Best Music Video for Montero (Call Me by Your Name).

Lil Nas X unfortunately didn’t win any categories he was nominated for. Nas X posted a tweet from his official Twitter account while the Grammy ceremony was taking place, writing in a tweet to his fans while posted up in his white Balmain suit covered in pearls,
“lost all my grammies so far. let’s celebrate that!”
Later on in the eventful night, Nas X jokingly makes another tweet in regards to losing all of his nominations, saying
“can’t believe i lost all my grammys. i am now no longer gay!”

While the joke lasted all of ten minutes, Nas X quickly changed his mind. He took to Twitter the next morning following the day of the Grammy’s to reflect on his “favorite performance yet.” Nas X writes in a tweet to his fans,
“last night was my favorite performance yet. and a fun night in general. we lost all our grammies but that just mean it’s time to go even harder! love y’all.”

Nas X took the Grammy stage Sunday night to perform nominated hits Montero (Call Me By Your Name) and Industry Baby, both backed with Jack Harlow by his side.
This makes it Nas X’s second time performing at the Grammy’s. His first time taking the stage was in 2020 with a dual performance of Old Town Road and Rodeo. He won two Grammy’s in 2020 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video for Old Town Road (Remix) — along with four other nominations.
