Master P Says “They Don’t Want To See Somebody Else Make It Until They Are Gone” While Addressing “Fake Love” Nipsey Hussle Received After His Passing

Looks like Master P isn’t here for fake supporters of Nipsey Hussle.

The business mogul discussed the hype surrounding the late Nipsey Hussle’s debut album Victory Lap, only after the rap artist was deceased.

When speaking on the work Crenshaw artist Nipsey Hussle put into the album, Master P stated:

“He put the same record that sold millions of copies [that] only sold 50,000 when he was alive and he couldn’t get it.”

He continued:

“He was like, ‘Man, I put my all into this project….And then when it didn’t happen, – and just watching the people, this guy didn’t know that his funeral was at the Staples Center. He didn’t know that he had that type of love.”

Nipsey Hussle was murdered outside of his flagship clothing store “The Marathon” back in March of 2019. While many people collectively mourned the rap artists untimely passing, Master P says when he was alive, there wasn’t staunch support for the musician’s music. The hip hop icon stated:

“Let’s be honest, he was still in Inglewood and Crenshaw trying to figure it out […] People would tell him, ‘Well, I don’t think that you got it.’ What happened? I mean, it’s the same album. The same album that people love now. That’s the part that I don’t understand. That’s why we got to celebrate while we were here. Stop it with fake love.”
