Cam Newton Speaks Out Amid His Controversial Comments Against Women: ‘I Have Been Depicted As Something That I’m Completely Not’

It looks like Cam Newton isn’t done sharing his opinions on women just yet!

While Cam Newton is still reeling in from his controversial comments earlier this week, it looks like he wants to clarify a couple things. The 32-year-old athlete took to Twitter on Friday (Apr.15) to share a preview for an upcoming episode of his Youtube series, “Funky Friday with Cam Newton.” In his caption, Cam Newton seemingly addresses the uproar he caused with his latest remarks about women. His caption reads,

“A lot has been made of my recent comments. I have been depicted as something that I’m COMPLETELY NOT! and I’m here to talk about it..”

In what appears to be an attempt to rectify his previous comments, Cam Newton shares a clip of him discussing something positive he would like to see amongst woman. He said,

“I think it would be entertaining enough to see like minded woman compete at a high level and do something that’s not always a**, not always tities, not always, you know–not necessarily degrading women, but only seeing woman in their own aesthetic.”

As previously reported, the NFL quarterback received some backlash earlier this week for what some feel were ‘sexist’ comments against women. In a recent interview, Cam Newton gave his definition of a “bad b**h” vs. a woman. Newton explained,

“A bad b*tch is a person who’s just, you know, ‘Girl I’m a bad b*tch, I’m doing this, I’m doing that.’ I look the part but I don’t act the part.”

He went on to break down what he feels the characteristics of a woman are.

“A woman for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs. And I think a lot of times when you get that ascetic of ‘I’m a boss b*tch, Imma this, Imma that.’ No baby! But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet! You don’t know how to allow a man to lead.”
