Cam Newton says there is a major difference between a woman and a bad b*tch!

In a recent interview, the NFL quarterback shared his opinions on what he feels the role of a woman should be and the things he admires and looks for. During Sunday’s (Apr.10) episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the 32-year-old athlete — who played on the New England Patriots last season and is currently a free agent — discussed his upbringing and how it shaped him. Cam Newton revealed,

“I grew up in a three-parent household. My mom, my father, and my grandmother. And I knew what a woman was. Not a bad b*tch! A woman.”

When asked what the difference was, Cam Newton explained,

“A bad b*tch is a person who’s just, you know, ‘Girl I’m a bad b*tch, I’m doing this, I’m doing that.’ I look the part but I don’t act the part.”

He went on to break down what he feels the characteristics of a woman are. He said,

“A woman for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs. And I think a lot of times when you get that ascetic of ‘I’m a boss b*tch, Imma this, Imma that.’ No baby! But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet! You don’t know how to allow a man to lead.”

Naturally, his comments garnered mixed opinions on social media. Some agreed with the NFL player while others felt his comments were misogynistic.

Some could argue that Newton has a controversial past when it comes to his love life. He shares four children with ex-girlfriend Shakia “Kia” Proctor.

The pair began dating in 2013 but called it quits in 2020 after the professional athlete allegedly had a baby with Instagram model La Reina Shaw.
