EXCLUSIVE: Diddy’s Ex Gina V Says ‘I Really Value The Friendship’ As She Opens Up About The Music Mogul & Reveals She Apologized To Cassie For Dating Him During Their Relationship
Gina V is speaking out on the relationship she has with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
theJasmineBrand sat with Gina V, whose real name Gina Huynh, to talk about her time as a stripper and the ins and outs of her relationship with Diddy, 52. While speaking on her previous career path she said,
“It saved me in a way, because I was able to use the money I made to travel, and see the world. And at 21, I met Puff and life changed for me, now I’m here.”
We reported back in 2019 that Gina was Diddy’s rumored girlfriend when photos of them using Snapchat filters and ‘boo’d up’ together surfaced online. When asked if they’re officially in a relationship or ever have been Gina said,
“Honestly, I don’t know. I’ve been with him for a very long time, but it was never set in stone. Sometimes I felt like it and sometimes I didn’t, but at the end of the day I really value the friendship that him and I have – and that’s the most important thing to us.”
She added’
“I don’t really care to be his girlfriend or anything, it’s just the friendship aspect. He did bless me in a lot of ways and I’m always going to be forever grateful and respect him.”
Gina V then admitted that it was “very tempting” dealing with Diddy, especially while he was in a relationship with singer, Cassie.
“I was young, naive, I ain’t know no better. It was enticing, and it was hard not to. I do feel bad though, because I’m a girly-girly, for the girls, woman empowerment, I want to stand for that and I apologized to her afterwards.”
Gina also added that deep down she feels bad, but says she was “so crazy in love” that she couldn’t stop speaking with Diddy.
As previously reported, last month Gina got into a social media spat with Yung Miami, half of the rap duo City Girls. Yung Miami, who is also rumored to be involved with Diddy, recently dished on why she responded to posts from Gina calling her out for messing with the famed entertainer.

Despite the continued drama, Gina still sees the good in the Bad Boy rapper. During our interview with the socialite, she said,
“He’s just a really good longtime friend of mine. Nothing more, nothing less, like – I just want him to be happy. I want him to live his truth, whatever that means to him. I don’t want to control him, I’m not a controlling person, I truly want him to be happy.
