Shooter Who Was Hired By ‘Sweetie Pie’s’ Reality TV Star Tim Norman To Kill His Nephew Pleads Guilty, Faces Life Sentence In Prison
New details have surfaced in the murder-for-hire case surrounding the reality series “Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s”
On Friday (June 3) a St. Louis man, Travel Hill, pleaded guilty in a murder-for-hire case involving a star of the reality series “Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s.” Travel Hill, 30, was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire. He was also convicted of a separate count of murder-for-hire in the killing of Andre Montgomery Jr., 21, in March of 2016.
Andre Montgomery Jr. was the former star of the soul food TV series centered around the restaurant “Sweetie Pie’s.” Travel Hill admitted to fatally shooting Montgomery on March 14, 2016, in exchange for $5,000.

According to the indictment, Hill arrived near the Clinton-Peabody Housing Complex to have a discussion with James Timothy Norman, 43, Montgomery’s uncle and Robbie Montgomery’s son. When the meeting adjourned, Hill concluded that James Norman wanted him to Montgomery. James Norman and his accomplice Terica Ellis (Memphis exotic dancer) purchased prepaid cell phones from Walgreens. Terica Ellis, 33, told Norman to initiate any communication with her using the prepaid phone.

Norman then told Hill that Terica Ellis (girlfriend of Norman) would contact him with a location for Montgomery. Hill went to get a .380 caliber semiautomatic handgun from someone who lived in the area of his residency.
Later that evening, Montgomery texted his location to Ellis who sent the location to her boyfriend and Hill. It was her job to get Montgomery in a specific spot so Hill could shoot him. Hill didn’t shoot Montgomery immediately because he wasn’t sure if it was him. To confirm, he asked Montgomery for marijuana. A few moments later, Hill called Montgomery in his direction and shot him multiple times.
Two days later, Hill met a person near his housing complex to receive $5,000. The person told him to be quiet about what had transpired.
Hill pleaded guilty and faces a mandatory life sentence in prison. A trial for the other three defendants will take place on September 6.
