‘Tinder Swindler’ Simon Leviev Sued For Millions By Real Leviev Family, Trial To Start Next Week
“Tinder Swindler” Simon Leviev, real name Simon Hayut, has been sued by the real Leviev clan and may finally face consequences for impersonating a member of the diamond family.
Simon Leviev, 31, pretended to be a wealthy heir who is a part of an Israeli diamond family that’s living in constant danger, conning women on Tinder into taking out loans and giving him their money. According to reports, between 2017 and 2019 he allegedly conned an estimated $10 million from various victims across Europe in a Ponzi scheme.
The real Leviev family is now taking action by suing the Israeli conman amid the release of the Netflix documentary “The Tinder Swindler,” which Simon Leviev stars in.

The diamond family is seeking millions. The lawsuit alleges that Simon “defrauded, cheated, conned, falsified, and hurt women, men and businesses” around the world while “impersonating” a member of their family. He is due in court in Israel next week. Reportedly, it has yet to be revealed how Simon plans to plead, but he has requested to not appear in court.
The lawsuit was brought against Simon by Israeli Russian diamond tycoon Lev Leviev and his family – including daughter Chagit Leviev, the CEO of Leviev Group USA. Along with impersonating the family, Simon enriched himself in their name. Chagit Leviev recently shared,
“We have suffered from the ‘Tinder Swindler’ for years. We knew he was defrauding companies and other women that reached out. We tried so hard to make him stop and fight him and report him to police.”
Chagit Leviev proceeded to speak on the 2022 film “The Tinder Swindler,” where a group of women who were the victims of the dating app swindler attempt to recover the millions of dollars that were stolen from them. She continued,
“Once I saw the show coming out, I saw it’s game over for him. You can no longer pretend who you are, you can no longer manipulate and lie to women. You’re busted. Everyone saw you. In his head he owned this company which is very sick and very crazy.”

Chagit also added that for years “companies were reaching out to us asking to get paid and saying they haven’t gotten the wire for private jets and private yachts,” but that watching the documentary, “It was very shocking to see the emotional aspect of it.”
Per reports, the three women Simon defrauded in the Netflix documentary, Cecilie Fjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte, are still in debt, owning $700,000. The women have joined together with Chagit and the Leviev family to create an affordable bracelet called Stronger Together with all proceeds going to help the women financially.
