Roddy Ricch’s audience at his recent show has some explaining to do.
Rapper Roddy Ricch recently performed at the Wireless Festival that took place in the United Kingdom from Friday (July 1) to Sunday (July 10). During the show, Roddy Ricch, 23, performed his highest-charting song “The Box” and the mostly caucasian crowd seemingly felt the lyrics a little too much.
A video surfaced the internet of Roddy’s performance in the UK. Before the hook of the song played the rapper screamed:
“Sing that sh*t.”
The mostly White crowd then recited the lyrics to “The Box,” and said:
Pullin’ out the coupe at the lot/Told ’em f*ck 12, f*ck SWAT/ Bustin’ all the bells out the box/I just hit a lick with the box/Had to put the stick in a box, mmh/Pour up the whole damn seal, I’ma get lazy/I got the mojo deals, we been trappin’ like the ’80s”
The crowd continued:
“She sucked a n*gga soul, gotta Cash App/Told ’em wipe a n*gga nose, say slatt, slatt”
