Quavo Finally Addresses Alleged Physical Altercation W/ His Ex Saweetie + Speaks On The Future Of Migos

Migos member Quavo recently addressed the current status of the hip-hop group, his controversial altercation with his ex-girlfriend Saweetie, his interest in acting, and more!

In a new interview, rapper Quavo, born Quavious Keynote Marshall, discussed a variety of topics from his life — including the artist dropping out of high school as a senior and then going back to get his diploma in 2020.

According to reports, Quavo, 31, dropped out of high school with one semester left. He stopped going because “he knew was tired of school” and “wasn’t getting anything from it anymore.”

Shortly after dropping out, the musical artist was determined to not stay stagnant and started to take rap seriously. Hip-hop trio Migos eventually released their first local hit “Bando” in 2012 in Atlanta, and the local club hit soon became their gateway to a global stage.

Quavo, the frontman of Migos, went back to high school and retrieved his diploma in 2020. The Atlanta native reportedly joined other graduating seniors in the class of 2020 at 29 years old.

As far as his future with Migos, a group with nearly 15 years of activity to its name, Quavo believes each member should establish their own catalog and that their individual talent will help solidify the group. He shared,

“It was all about Migos, Migos, Migos. The three of us. I feel like every group member has to establish themselves. Their own body of work. If not, you start losing members.”

Quavo also discussed his 2020 argument with fellow musical artist/former girlfriend Saweetie, 29.

As previously reported, footage surfaced of an apparent struggle in an elevator between Quavo and Saweetie following the pair confirming their split. While Quavo has yet to address what had transpired in the footage or their breakup, he did share,

“If I can ever speak on it, I never once in a million years want to do any harm to any woman, period.”

Later on in the interview, Quavo doubled down on the incident that went down between him and Saweetie, born Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, and said,

“I don’t like what people think. When they saw the elevator thing they thought it was abusive, something crazy.”
