Lebron James Says “I Don’t Give A Sh*t What Anybody Has To Say” While Speaking On Plans To Remain In The NBA & Play Alongside His Sons
NBA superstar Lebron James is reaffirming his long term career goals.
During a recent interview, the 37-year-old basketball giant confessed that he hasn’t detoured plans to remain in the NBA until his sons join him in the league. Lebron James Jr., who frequently goes by Bronny, 17, is currently a rising hoopstar – going into his senior year of highschool; while his youngest son Bryce James, 15, recently received his first D1 basketball offer to play at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Despite criticism that his fatherly dream puts unfair expectations and pressure on the teenagers, James is adamant he could care less what others think.
While speaking on the matter, the Lakers star stated:
“I don’t give a sh*t what nobody says. Our quest and our journey is not predicated on what everybody said,”

He continued:
You going to have five people that love you out of 10. Then you have five people that hate you out of 10. That’s just the way of the land. No matter what you do…..It’s just how it works. And the faster you can realize that happens, the better off you’ll be, because you’re not going to respond or give that too much energy.”

Back in March of this year, the 4 time NBA champion was forced to clarify remarks about playing with his son. After stating he plans to spend his final season playing on the same team as Bronny, generally ranked top 50 of his class, fans speculated he plans to leave the Lakers. However James subsequently stated he’ll “wear purple and gold” as long as he can. Earlier this month, it was announced that he signed a two year extension with the west coast team.

In regards to backlash his famed father received over his considerably “lofty” dreams of playing with his boys, with people saying it places too much pressure on them, Bronny confirmed during the interview that’s certainly not the case. Bronny stated that while he does plan to keep playing basketball, he knows his father would equally support him if he chose not to. He stated:
“I was born into it, so I feel like the path was already chosen….But my dad is cool enough to let me take whatever path I want if I wanted to not pursue basketball. But I think basketball is going to be my thing, for sure.”

The interview also noted that Bryce also confirmed plans to keep pursuing the family sport. Revealing that he really fell into the game, he stated:
“I just tried it, and it turned out I really liked it.”

As for the youngest James member Zhuri, 7, the parents of three say their daughter has shown no interest in the game just yet. While mamma bear Savannah James says she just wants her children to be happy. She stated:
“For me, I just want [Bronny] to be happy. If you are happy playing in gaming competitions in Long Beach, then that’s what I want you to do. If you’re happy being a franchise player for an NBA team, that’s what I want you to do. . . . A lot of people are doing things and moving through life and aren’t necessarily happy.”
