Lizzo Gives Update On Her Relationship, Shares She’s ‘In Love’ W/ Boyfriend Myke Wright

It looks like Lizzo has caught the love bug and is falling fast for her boyfriend, Myke Wright!

During a recent interview on the “Audacy Check In” podcast, Lizzo (real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson) revealed that she is in love with her boyfriend, comedian/actor Myke Wright. She said,

“I am in love. He has his own name for me; he calls me Melly. He’s creative.”

In July, Lizzo revealed on “The Breakfast Club” that her relationship with  Myke Wright is not monogamous and that it taught her to be open to love. Lizzo said that traditional relationships scare her, but she can love someone for a lifetime. She explained,

“I think a traditional relationship scares me for 10 years, but love is forever. I can love somebody forever. Monogamy, I think to me, is a little claustrophobic — I think because there’s the rules. I think a love relationship that’s not monogamous has no rules.”

Lizzo and Wright sparked romance rumors when they were spotted having dinner together in L.A. on Valentine’s Day, however they were linked sometime before that. In October 2021, Lizzo and her beau were spotted at Crustacean Beverly Hills together.

Since then, Wright has accompanied the “Truth Hurts” singer to a handful of events, including the FYC event for her Amazon Prime Video series, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, and the 2022 MTV VMAs.

Myke Wright is best known for being a stand-up comedian, which he previously appeared on Adam Devine’s House Party and Laughs. Additionally, Wright has a handful of acting credits, including How to Be a Grown Up, Doubting Thomas, and the short Tell Me What You Know About Cyrus. In addition to being a comedian, actor, and musician, Wright is also a designer.
