 Lil Peep’s Mother Settles Lawsuit w/ His Management Company Over The Circumstances Of His Death, She Claims They ‘Encouraged’ Behavior That Led To Rapper’s Overdose 

Lil Peep’s mother has finally received closure from her late son’s management company. 

The lawsuit filed by Lil Peep’s mother against his management company First Access Entertainment (FAE) in October 2019 was finally settled on October 10. Lil Peep’s mother, Liza Womack, brought the case against FAE regarding his 2017 death due to drug-related circumstances.

Lil Peep died on November 15, 2017, at age 21 while on a tour bus in Tucson, Arizona. The young emo rapper, real name Gustav Elijah Ahr, was on one of the final stops of his “Come Over When You’re Sober” tour. According to reports,  Lil Peep’s autopsy later revealed that he had consumed lethal levels of fentanyl and Xanax. 

 Womack’s lawyers claim that FAE’s tour management was inept and had encouraged the conduct that partly resulted in her son’s death. Court documents note that the drug use on tour was,

“allowed, normalized, and even encouraged and promoted [pushing the singer] to the extreme bounds of what somebody of his age and maturity level could handle emotionally, mentally and physically.”

However, attorneys for FAE rebutted, claiming that FAE staff never gave drugs to the rapper and that they had no control over his personal life.

Three years later during a status conference held on Monday (October 10), attorneys for Liza Womack and FAE told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, Teresa A. Beaudet, that the case has been resolved in principle. No terms were revealed.
