‘P-Valley’ Renewed For Season 3 At Starz, Show Creator Shares It May Take Some Time Before Series Is Officially Back But ‘It’ll Be Well Worth The Wait’
After months of anticipation, P-Valley has officially been renewed for a third season on Starz!
The critically acclaimed drama series about the lives inside and outside the Chucalissa, Mississippi-based strip club, The Pynk, has finally been renewed for season 3 by Starz. Creator Katori Hall took to social media to thank her fans and “fiercely devoted Pink posse” who have supported the series since season 1.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Katori wrote:
“I am blessed beyond measure for this opportunity to write the next chapter of ‘P-Valley.’ With its complex, dynamic, and beautifully flawed characters, this show is a love letter to marginalized communities in the American South who rarely see themselves reflected on screen, and it brings me immense joy to know that it has been embraced by folx worldwide.”

In the midst of thanking her supporters, she also dropped a bomb on fans letting them know it may be a long time before they see The Pynk back on tv screens.
“We wouldn’t be getting back up on that pony, without our fiercely devoted Pynk Posse. Y’all are our fire. And special thanks to the fuel: everyone who laid hands on this show. From the writers and producers to the cast to the crew to the executives, this show is made with great love, grit and glitter. It’s gonna take us a Mississippi minute before we’re back on your screens again, but best believe it’ll be well worth the wait.”

After the season 2 finale aired, Katori Hall told sources it would take her at least two years before fans will see season 3.
She said at the time,
“I always say, ‘I think I can lay down in my grave and be well rested and be fine because I did everything that I set out to do with this season.’ I feel so satisfied. I feel proud of not only the writing, but also the acting, the moments we created…I want people, over the next two years because it’ll take that long, to just remember these iconic TV moments that we were able to craft with love and care and consideration.”
P Valley is based on Katori Hall’s play “Pu**y Valley.” The show is set at The Pynk, a strip club in the Mississippi Delta, and follows the employees as they try to get by in the fictional town of Chucalissa.
The series stars; Nicco Annan, Elarica Johnson, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Parker Sawyers, Harriett D. Foy, Dan J. Johnson, Morocco Omari, Dominic DeVore, Tyler Lepley, Jordan M. Cox, Skyler Joy, John Clarence Stewart, Miracle Watts, Shamika Cotton, Gail Bean, Psalms Salazar, Loretta Devine, Thomas Q. Jones, and Bertram Williams, Jr.
The series also previously featured rap superstar Megan Thee Stallion.
Taking on the role of her musical alter ego, Tina Snow, which serves as a nod to her debut EP of the same name, Megan Thee Stallion joined Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan) and her girls at The Pynk for an exclusive strip club concert during season two.
According to Starz, P-Valley currently averages 10.3 million viewers per episode across all platforms.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of P Valley for being renewed for a 3rd season!
