Discretion is Advised • I will start with #AllPraiseisDuetoAllah. I thank You for granting me life, this opportunity and platform to share my journey with those who are genuinely invested with care and concern for my #health & wellbeing. “This unforeseen medical roller coaster has been a complete life changing experience and I truly value everyday functionality like Walking, Talking and Breathing on your my own with no assistance from a medical professional or machines. Take none of the forementioned for granted. Here’s an abbreviated version of events ••• In early to mid July I was in a meeting over lunch, wrapped up and proceeded back to the studio to continue working on my upcoming project. As I sat in front of the computer I began to lose feeling on the entire left side of my body and fell over to the side.”
He added:
“Fortunately my phone was within reach and I was able to call for assistance. I only remember sitting in the ER in a wheelchair and my brother @DJEddieF standing next to me speaking with a security guard. It was October when I was made fully aware of what had transpired and able to start to comprehend it all. I had multiple surgeries covering everything from repairing a #hematoma / #hernia to an #OrganTransplant!.., To Be Cont… • A Special thank you to the #IconLiving @SnoopDogg for the Love & Light celebration. Al B!”
Proceeding his lengthy letter to his loved ones in another post, Al B Sure! said:
“Pt2… I was placed on #dialysis, accumulated excessive fluid in my lungs, #fungalNeumonía, became #septic, removal of #Lymphnodes, multiple #bloodtransfusions, was #intubated and also placed on a #ventilator due to my oxygen dropping down to 20%. All mind boggling at the least. It all just doesn’t jell ••• I’m now the proud owner of the #Chevron scar as seen in this clip where the Dr. entered my chest / abdominal cavity to repair my internal broken parts. That’s the best description I can give without going into unsavory morbid sounding details.”
He continued:
“Being heavily sedated, asleep and in a coma during a portion of my hospitalization to learning that the amazing medical professionals were fully prepared to send me to hospice due to the severity of my overall illnesses. Doctor’s said it just didn’t look as if I’d make it through with all going on simultaneously. My brother @DJEddieF, my primary Dr. K and Civil Rights Icon Rev. Dr. Al @Real_Sharpton & @RachelNoerdwere all firm advocates stating #NoHospice, he’s been through a lot but we are confident knowing he’s strong enough to survive this medical adversity!”
In a third series to his post, the Boston native added:
“Pt3 Cont… Images may be graphic or disturbing to some viewers. Discretion is Advised • Thank God I’m alive, alert, gradually healing and forever grateful for my time being extended here on God’s green earth ••• I’m maintaining a positive mindset throughout this healing process. To be completely transparent, everything I’ve gone through self perpetuated or otherwise has shaken me to the core but my faith and believe in #TheMostHigh has put me in check for a greater life plan moving forward with what Our Creator has in store. It has been ordained that I thrive within this second chance gift of life. Being accountable to myself to achieve consistent Health and Wellness moving forward is on ME! The responsibility, will to stay alive, be a better human being, father, brother, son, social activist and man is on ME! What I seek to conquer and accomplish in the future will be monumental, God willing.”
