Meek Mill Gets His Phone ‘Pickpocketed’ In Ghana: They Roughed Me TF Upppppp But The Love Overpowered It
Meek Mill (real name Rihmeek Williams) might be a little hard to get in touch with while he’s in Ghana.
The Dream Chasers CEO received a lot of love while being in the country for the Afro Nation music festival, but the visit left him without a phone.
While traveling to the festival on Thursday (Dec. 29), the rapper posted a number of videos detailing his interactions with Ghanaians. Meek Mill expressed in one Instagram Story that he was preparing to purchase a home in Ghana after feeling the love of the locals.
Chile, #MeekMill said they "roughed" him up in Ghana. The rapper also revealed that his phone was pickpocketed ? (?: meekmill) pic.twitter.com/8HeXftPd5A

In his caption, he said,
“They roughed me tf upppppp but the love overpowered it”
And while the evident, he wasn’t excluded from being targeted. Meek Mill posted a message to his Story claiming someone had “pickpocketed” his phone and that he wanted it back. He said,
“They pick pocketed me for my phoneeeeeee SMH….Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!”
Meek Mill didn’t let the incident get him down though, going on to release additional video of Ghanaians expressing him love while he was out and about in the nation’s capital, Accra.
In addition to Meek, P-Square and Skepta also headlined Afro Nation, which is said to be the
“The world’s biggest Afrobeats festival”
Following the discovery that he is 18 percent Ghanaian, Meek declared Ghana to be his second home earlier this week. The Philly native shared his DNA findings on his Instagram Story, circling the 18% of the results that were marked as “Ivory Coast & Ghana,” and wrote, “My second home!!!”
