Tiffany Haddish Is Open To Doing ‘Girls Trip 2,’ Says She ‘Can’t Be Concerned’ w/ Critics Who Want Her Banned From Film Due To Sexual Abuse Allegations She Previously Faced
Tiffany Haddish is moving on from her legal troubles and is ready to get back to her love of acting!
On Tuesday (Jan. 31) paparazzi caught up with Tiffany Haddish and asked the actress how she feels about ‘Girls Trip’ co-writer Tracey Oliver confirming the long overdue sequel of the hit movie is in the works. Tiffany Haddish replied:
“She says it every year and I look forward to it.”
Tiffany Haddish then shared she doesn’t “have an opinion” if her character, Dina, is replaced or booted out of the follow-up project due to the sexual abuse allegations she faced last year.
However, the 43-year-old made it clear that, if given the chance, she would love to join Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Regina Hall, again in the sequel. Haddish said:
“I will do anything with those women. I love those people. I love everybody that worked on that. We had a blast. They wanna work with me, I wanna work with them.”
She added:
“…And I know that the girls would love it too. We talked about it often.”
Referring back to the scrutiny she’s faced, she said:
“I can’t be concerned about what people think. I got to be concerned about how I feel. When I look in the mirror, am I happy with what I see? Yes ma’am. God made it, God did a good job and God knows the truth.”

As previously reported, last year a pair of siblings dropped their sexual abuse lawsuit, which they filed under the pseudonym of John and Jane, against comedians Haddish and Aries Spears. The brother and sister duo accused the comedians of sexually abusing them when they were minors while filming a controversial comedy skit. However, after dropping their suit, the alleged victims claimed their family decided to leave the situation in the past.
Last month, “Girls Trip” producer Will Packer admitted that he couldn’t make a sequel to the film without Tiffany Haddish. In an interview with former NFL player Shannon Sharpe, Will Packer said:
“I gotta have the (original) cast. I gotta take them. ‘Cause people love those ladies. They love those characters.”
Will Packer praised Haddish and continued:
“She was a breakout. Everybody else that came in and auditioned for that role, they were playing the character they read on the page. But Tiffany became the character. She took what was on the page and took it to the next level.”
Shannon Sharpe then asked the “Obsession” producer if he could convince the studio that he needed the entire original cast for the follow-up project. Packer replied:
“I certainly hope so. I think that we are in a time period where there’s not a lot of nuances. It’s just black and white, and the reality is that we live in a gray world,” Packer said. “I think that, you know, she’s very talented obviously, very remorseful and has come out and apologized, so I certainly hope so.”
He added,
“‘Girls Trip Two,’ I can’t make it without [Tiffany Haddish.]”
