Khia Shades Saweetie Over ‘My Neck, My Back’ Sample Used For Her Debut Single ‘Icy Girl’: ‘I Don’t Think She Did It Any Justice’
Khia recently shared that she isn’t a fan of Saweetie’s sampling of her 2001 hit, “My Neck, My Back.”
During a recent appearance, rapper Khia, 45, spoke on artists who have sampled her well-known track on their own songs.
Although fellow rappers YG and City Girls have sampled the track by Khia for records like “Pop It” and “F*ck That N***a,” the “My Neck, My Back” rapper said that Saweetie’s 2018 break-out single “Icy Girl” was the one that did her tune “no justice.”
While speaking on the remixes of her highest-charting single, Khia said,
“Least favorite would be Saweetie – sweet pea. I don’t like her, I don’t think she did it any justice. I didn’t even like green sweet peas when I was young.”
According to reports, Khia said nothing really stood out about Saweetie’s record. She continued,
“Nobody have gave it justice yet.”

Saweetie’s record, “Icy Girl,” arrived as the lead single on her debut EP “High Maintenance” in 2018. The song is a freestyle to “My Neck, My Back” by Khia and reportedly became Saweetie’s claim to fame. Months before her EP dropped, a viral clip of her freestyling to Khia’s record began to circulate online, seemingly taking the rapper’s career to the next level.
