‘Basketball Wives’ Star Brittish Williams Begs For Wire Fraud Trial To Be Postponed To Grant Her Time To Work Out A Plea Deal
Brittish Williams is doing what she can to resolve her legal issues without having to go to trial.
According to RadarOnline, “Basketball Wives” star Brittish Williams recently pleaded with a Missouri judge to postpone her trial, which is set to take place on Monday (Apr. 17), so she can work out a plea deal. According to her attorney, prosecutors have more allegations than evidence against the socialite.

Williams’ attorney said :
“The government continues to make allegations that far exceed any actual evidence in their possession. Whatever the new charges may be, we look forward to addressing them.”
They continued and said:
“The parties believe that a plea agreement can be reached if the government has time to obtain some necessary approvals, and thereby avoid the need for a superseding indictment. A continuance of the trial date provides that time.”

Brittish Williams was indicted in 2021 on five felony charges of misuse of a Social Security number, four charges of bank fraud, three charges of making false statements to the IRS, three charges of wire fraud and three charges of aggravated identity theft. As previously reported, the reality star ultimately pleaded not guilty at the U.S. District Court in St. Louis.
However, prosecutors accused her of using fake social security numbers to acquire loans in 2017. They claim that she deposited multiple checks in 2018 and 2019 from $4,500 to $5,800 into accounts and would quickly remove the funds before banks realized they were fraudulent.
She’s also being accused of claiming fake dependents – with false names and social security numbers – on her tax returns from 2017 to 2019.
