Fugees Member Pras Suing 50 Cent & Kyrie Irving For Defamation Over Claims That He Was An FBI Informant, Says He ‘Never Said He Was’ & ‘Never Will Be’
Rapper Pras didn’t take too kindly to the things that were said about him outside of the courtroom!
As previously reported, last month, Pras was found guilty of all charges for his participation in an international conspiracy scheme against the U.S. government.

Pras
Allegedly, Pras aided Malaysian fugitive Jho Low in illegally funneling over $800,000 to ex-president Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign. Additionally, during Donald Trump’s 2017 presidency, he was said to have gotten $100 million+ to persuade Trump and officials to drop their case against Low for his involvement in a notorious embezzlement plot, known as the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal.
Currently, the Fugees phenomenon is facing up to 20 years behind bars. However, while he awaits sentencing, Pras has (seemingly) set out to clear his name… once and for all.

According to reports, the 50-year-old is suing 50 Cent and Kyrie Irving for social media posts (in regard to his controversial trial) where they ran with the narrative of Pras possibly being in cohorts with the law.
If you haven’t heard, it has been claimed that Pras also “advocated” for the extradition of a recusant by the name of Guo Wengui (who was wanted for crimes in China) on behalf of the Chinese government.
When speaking of the matter before the judge, Pras stated,
“I took it upon myself to report because I thought the FBI should know.”
Following his remark, a famed publication (which he’s suing as well) issued an article that labeled Pras an “informant” for the FBI. Although later edited, Pras and his attorneys now feel that it has majorly affected his brand and self-proclaimed innocence.

Pras
In a letter about the new lawsuit, Pras’ legal representative, Jonathan Schwartz, wrote that the accusations caused the iconic rhymer to fumble a number of high-end contracts and music streams.
“It is and was absolutely and demonstrably false for [the publication] to publish that [Pras] was a ‘government informant.’ Labeling a hip-hop artist such as [Pras], the reputation of whom is dependent upon ‘street credibility’ and not being a ‘snitch,’ a ‘government informant’ most certainly tends to subject said hip-hop artist to hatred, distrust, ridicule, contempt, and/or disgrace, along with injury in their trade or profession.”
Subsequent to the claim gaining traction online, rap mogul 50 Cent took to his Instagram to deem Pras a “rat.”
Under a screenshot of an article about the situation, he said,
“I knew this fool was a Rat! I’m glad I never f*cked with this guy.”

50 Cent
NBA giant Kyrie Irving trailed 50 Cent’s post with a tweet, addressing his stance on Pras (allegedly) serving as an FBI insider.
He tweeted,
“A whole FBI informant was in the Fuguees for that long?? Got me Wondering how many more informants are in Entertainment/Media/Politics silently destroying revolutionary movements from the inside.”

As of now, no further responses have been given from Kyrie Irving and 50 Cent.
However, Pras recently spoke about the guilty verdict and said,
“I was never, I never said I was, I never was, [I] never will be a CIA or FBI informant.”
