Tory Lanez Sparks Online Debate Ahead Of Sentencing For Megan Thee Stallion Shooting As Public Predicts Outcome: ‘This Man Going To Prison Because Of Evil People’
R&B phenomenon Tory Lanez is preparing to learn his fate in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting, and so is the rest of the world.
Reportedly, Tory Lanez will go before a California judge today (Aug. 7) to receive his sentencing for the contentious occurrence.

Ahead of the hearing, chatters about the expected outcome have erupted on social media, and users are weighing in on the debate-worthy topic.
As you may know, this past December, Tory LanezĀ was found guilty of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in her feet following a verbal argument they had in 2020. The court convicted the Canadian artist of three felonies — assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and negligent discharge of a firearm.
Although a now-jailed Lanez is awaiting the possibility of an over-20-year sentence, recently, it was revealed that the 31-year-old is alternatively requesting probation and enrollment into a substance abuse program.

However, prosecutors are aiming for LanezĀ to catch a 13-year bid, with 6 years for first-degree assault with a firearm, 4 years for the firearm aggravator, and 3 additional years for bodily harm. Sentences for the firearm charges will reportedly run concurrently.
Throughout the duration of the years-long case, there have been many pieces to the puzzle that have questioned the validity of the “Say It” performer’s innocence plea. Moreover, he’s vehemently accused Megan Thee Stallion’s Roc Nation crew of framing him and even alluded to the involvement of Stallion’s ex-best friend, Kelsey Harris.
If you hadn’t heard, a lot of the speculation surrounding the high-profile claims pointed toward Kelsey Harris as the (potential) trigger-puller. However, Lanez’s legal team ultimately failed to convince the jury of the loose-end suspicions.

When speaking of the unfortunate debacle, a user on X (formerly known as Twitter) cited,
“Tory Lanez didn’t shoot Megan [Thee Stallion]!!!! Kelsey [Harris] did… This man going to prison because of evil people.”

Another individual shared about Lanez’s rumored romantic dealings with both Stallion and Harris:
“I don’t know how many years they giving Tory Lanez but you gotta give dude props. Smashing Kelsey and Meg then [showing] up at the party where they both at and then [trying] to rizz Kylie Jenner.”

Of course, as Lanez continues to hold his breath on the soon-to-come verdict, the public’s opinions have only persisted.
Here’s more of what they had to say while we look out for Lanez’s results…
