Marcus Jordan Says He Wants His Dad To Be His Best Man When He Marries Larsa Pippen, Despite Michael Jordan Previously Sharing He Doesn’t Approve Of Their Relationship

Marcus Jordan has shared his desire to have his father, Michael Jordan, by his side when he ties the knot with Larsa Pippen.

During a recent interview, the controversial couple spoke on the next step in their relationship and it appears to be wedding bells in the air. Marcus Jordan, 32, NBA legend Michael Jordan’s second-oldest son, confirmed that a wedding will be taking place for him and his rumored fiancée, reality TV star Larsa Pippen, 49, eventually.

After the show host asked when the two would walk down the aisle, Marcus Jordan smiled and said,

“It’s in the works is my go to saying right now. I don’t think we have a date. We’re still talking about locations and party size and all of that stuff. So it’s not really concrete yet, but it’ll happen.”

Despite Michael Jordan previously stating that he doesn’t approve of his son’s relationship with the TV personality, Marcus is seemingly adamant about wanting his father to take on the role of best man at his wedding.

As you may recall, Larsa Pippen is the ex-wife of Michael’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen. The basketball legends played for the Chicago Bulls and won six NBA championships together in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Larsa and Scottie Pippen were married from 1997-2021 and welcomed four children together; Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin, and Sophia.

Marcus expressed,

“Yeah you know, look, I was the best man at his wedding and the best man at my brother’s wedding, and so obviously, we’ll keep that tradition going is my thoughts on it.”

Marcus then hinted at the possibility of the marriage ceremony airing on TV since his (rumored) soon-to-be wife, Larsa, is a cast member on the reality series “Real Housewives Of Miami.”

When asked how they balance their love for each other while being in the spotlight, Marcus responded,

“We’re very private people, the Jordans, and so if it was up to me, I think we would do maybe multiple weddings. One private for our family and friends and then maybe there’s one that’s a little more public. But I guess time will tell.”

The public will surely be waiting to see if the NBA star follows through as best man at Marcus’ pending wedding, especially since he already shared his ill feelings towards his son’s high-profile relationship earlier this year.

In June, Michael said “no” when asked by paparazzi if he approved of his son’s romantic relationship with Larsa.

Marcus and Larsa initially sparked dating rumors in November 2022 when they were spotted at an NFL game. After claiming they were just friends, they confirmed they were dating by going IG official at the beginning of this year. The love birds launched a couple’s podcast together called “Separation Anxiety” in June.
