Kodak Black Files Motion To Get Drug Possession Case Dismissed, Claims 31 Pills Found In His Vehicle Were Tylenol Not Oxycodone
Kodak Black and his legal team are fighting back against his drug charges.
According to reports, Kodak Black’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, has filed a motion for a judge to dismiss the rapper’s prescription drug case. Cohen argues that the pills found on his client during his July 2022 arrest were Tylenol and not oxycodone as officers claimed.

The 26-year-old entertainer was reportedly pulled over by Florida Highway Patrol after he was spotted driving an SUV with tinted windows seemingly darker than the legal limit. Allegedly, the cops smelled marijuana and, after searching the vehicle, found a bag with 31 white tablets and nearly $75,000 in cash.
Kodak Black, born Bill Kapri, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and another for trafficking oxycodone.

However, Kodak’s recent motion to dismiss the case claims that the testing of the pills showed they were actually the over-the-counter pain reliever, Tylenol. According to the rapper’s lawyer, the pills had been destroyed during the testing process and officials never provided any report despite results proving them to be Tylenol.
In addition, Cohen accuses the Broward Sheriff’s Office of covering up for FBI Special Agent James Mitchell, who is allegedly biased. Cohen says that prosecutors attempted to withhold bodycam footage of an officer surveilling Kodak. The officer allegedly said in the video that he was “always ready” as the camera was focused on his firearm.
In the motion, Kodak and his legal team claim the arrest was part of a “coordinated takedown” of the Flordia native. Subsequently, Cohen is fighting for the case to be dismissed entirely.
