Chilli & Actor Matthew Lawrence Still Going Strong Despite Being Long-Distance
Love is still in the air for at least one Hollywood couple.
It seems that a lot of celebs have been announcing breakups recently, but thankfully, TLC singer Chilli, 52, and her boyfriend, actor Matthew Lawrence, 43, aren’t on the list of Hollywood couples that have called it quits this year. As previously reported, the pair first sparked dating rumors in August 2022 after being spotted together in Hawaii. However, at the time, reps for the entertainers claimed they were just friends.
Things between the “friends” eventually escalated and at the top of this year Chilli’s publicist confirmed the famed singer is dating the “Boy’s Meet World” actor by writing under a video of them playfully dancing together,
“[Chilli] has a [love] that can dance!!!! But most important your heart found its perfect match. Matthew is little sister/publicist/bodyguard approved!!! What a beautiful start to 2023!”
Since then, the love birds have remained pretty tight-lipped about the ins and outs of their relationship, but they did previously allude that marriage and babies might be on the radar for them. Well, it seems they’re still on the right track to making things official and starting a family! An insider close the the couple shared with TMZ that they spent Thanksgiving together for the second year in a row. Allegedly, Chilli, real name Rozonda Thomas, did the cooking, and Matthew Lawrence was thoroughly impressed by her skills.
The source also revealed that Chilli, who lives in Georgia, and Matthew Lawrence, who lives in California, are not letting the distance come between them. In addition to coming together for Thanksgiving, they were spotted at an Atlanta Falcons game last month and Matthew supported Chilli in Vegas for her performance on Thursday night (Dec. 7) for the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament semifinals and championship.
