DDG Talks About Naming His Child Halo In Resurfaced Clip Amid News That He & Halle Bailey Have Welcomed A Son Together + Social Media Reacts: ‘Everyone Knew’

Speculations about movie star Halle Bailey’s pregnancy have finally been confirmed!

The entertainer shared her greatest accomplishment of 2023 to her instagram recently, revealing the birth and name of her son with boyfriend DDG.

Yesterday (Saturday, January 6th), Halle Bailey, 23, uploaded a picture of her and DDG holding the baby’s hand, writing:

“even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you”

Over on the YouTuber’s page DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., 26, also shared an image, captioning his post:

“my biggest blessing by far son son.. never been so in love baby halo”

Though it’s unclear when exactly the baby was born, rumors about Bailey being pregnant have been floating around for some time now. As we’re previously reported, speculations that the two were expecting first started around August last year after social media users noticed “The Little Mermaid” actress seemed to be carrying extra stomach weight. As the months went by, skepticism steadily increased with more suspicious pictures coming about that seemed to show her intentionally trying to make her belly less noticeable. Last month, social media users for the most part became convinced Bailey had given birth following a viral video that saw her very carefully removing herself from a table and noticeably, trying not to avoid bumping her stomach.

Now, social media users have been patting themselves on the back, reveling in the fact that the majority was correct. One commenter specifically highlighted a resurfaced clip of DDG where he revealed their son’s name, seemingly before he even knew that Bailey was expecting. In the clip, the rapper seems to have been asked fan questions when someone inquired about what he’d want to name his kid someday. In response, he stated:

“Is that confidential information?…the name I’m thinking about is Halo.”

DDG went on to confirm that the name is a play on Bailey’s name. Amid the big revelation, many have taken to the comments section to congratulate the new parents while others praised their ability to evade. Some took the opportunity to point out the internet’s undefeated detective skills. But overall, most seem happy for the two and that Bailey was able to have a healthy delivery.
