Cardi B Reacts To Claims Her Net Worth Is $80 Million: ‘I Feel Like I Actually Passed’ It, ‘But I Also Got A Lot Of Bills’
Cardi B is opening up about her coins.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper has addressed the chatter of how much she’s worth. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she was at $80 million as of December 2023.
Asked about the eight-figure amount during an appearance on 360 With Speedy, Cardi B told host Speedy Morman,
“I made a lot of money. I feel like I actually passed almost doing $80 million.”
Still, she confessed,
“But also, I got a lot, a lot of bills. I’m taking care of…I’m helping a lot, and I help a lot of my friends and I help a lot of my family and everything.”
She continued and said she’s not convinced everyone who asks for money needs her help.
“Because it’s like, ‘Alright, if you’re so broke, if you’re really going through some sh*t, I just seen you outside.’ I remember when I was broke, I was never outside.”
Meanwhile, Cardi recently shared her thoughts on how bills and expenses should be paid in households. The Grammy winner, who married Offset in 2017 before they welcomed two children together, clarified her previous statements that men and women should split bills 50/50.
She said in a video online,
“When I was talking about the 50/50 situation…I didn’t say that women have to go 50/50 with a man. And let me make this very clear, and I wasn’t talking about my situation.”
She continued,
“Fortunately, and I’m very grateful, me and Offset, we’re practically part of the 1%. We don’t have those regular rules, or regular bills sh*t that a lot of people experience because we both are, I don’t even want to not sound like humble but we’re both rich.”
She noted that she and Offset, whose net worth is reportedly $30 million, equally shared the cost of their Georgia estate because they wanted to purchase it together.
She first faced criticism after sharing her thoughts on the 50/50 conversation piece during an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. She said,
“If you and yo’ man make the same amount of money, right? But only your man is the one paying all the bills, how [are] y’all ever going to save up to buy a house or buy a business? ‘Cause he’s never going to be able to afford to. So, it’s like… certain things, it’s a joint thing to do, you know what I’m saying? It’s like a work together.”
