Former Nick Exec Dan Schneider Slams ‘Wildly Exaggerated’ Allegations That He Sexually Abused & Had Phone Sex w/ ‘All That’ Star Lori Beth Denberg

TV exec Dan Schneider is denying claims that he sexually assaulted actress Lori Beth Denberg.

The ex-Nickelodeon producer slammed the child star’s recent accusations that he preyed on and sexually assaulted her, arguing that her memories of their interactions are “exaggerated.”

In response to Lori Beth Denberg, 48, recently recounting the alleged predatory actions of Dan Schneider, 58, the producer stated:

“Lori Beth’s accusations of me are wildly exaggerated and, in most cases, false,” 

He added:

“As I have previously stated, there were times, particularly in the early years of my career, that I made mistakes and exhibited poor judgment as a leader…If I did that with respect to Lori Beth, I sincerely apologize to her. But I cannot apologize for things I did not do.”

Dan Schneider has been under intense scrutiny following the release of the documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV earlier this year. The 5-part docuseries features former Nickelodeon employees who accuse the TV exec and several of his colleagues of sexually exploiting child stars. Schneider specifically is accused of playing porn for employees and creating a toxic work environment, though he continues to deny all allegations.

Lori Beth Denberg, who starred in the Nick comedy series All That from 1994 – 1998, recently came forward accusing Schneider of having an inappropriate relationship with her. She says that around the time she was 19, the TV exec invited her to his office offering support after a female producer spoke to her about her weight gain and allegedly showed her porn after the conversation was over. She states about the matter:

“I feel like that is the first time he preyed on me,”

Additionally, Denberg alleges that she was later invited to the producer’s home where they played a game, with the prize being one giving the other a massage. Denberg says after Schneider won, he fondled her breasts and put them in his mouth. Afterward, Denberg claims the two would go on to have phone sex and watch porn several more times. Looking back, she says she understands how unseemly Schneider’s actions were, stating:

“I couldn’t have been more green…I couldn’t have been more vulnerable…There’s right and wrong, and there’s true and false.”

Denberg says she’s coming forward so that more people will feel empowered to tell their stories following the shocking documentary.
