Dearica Hamby, a three-time WNBA All-Star, has sued the WNBA and the Las Vegas Aces, claiming discrimination and retaliation amid her pregnancy.

In a new lawsuit, she alleges the Aces promised extra benefits, including tuition for her daughter and housing, which she says were withheld after she revealed her second pregnancy in 2022.

The WNBA launched an internal investigation and found the Aces violated rules. The team was penalized with a draft pick loss, and coach Becky Hammon was suspended for two games. She was ultimately traded to the Los Angeles Sparks, which Becky Hammon reportedly approved because Dearica Hamby was pregnant.
