[Exclusive] Did Toya Wright Refuse Reality TV Offer Because of Her Husband’s Ex-Girlfriend?
For the past few weeks, rumors surrounding the cast of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta have continued to swirl. Last week, we learned that rapper Diamond had dropped from the cast and we also learned that Toya Wright, the ex-wife of Lil Wayne and wife of Memphitz, was NOT an official cast member of the show. However, according to a source close to the show and its cast, we reportedly learned insight as to why Toya ALLEGEDLY refused to join the cast. An insider shares:
I just saw your story on Toya Wright not being on the cast [of Love & Hip-Hop]. No, she [Toya] won’t be on the show because her husband’s ex-girlfriend, K. Michelle, is on the show. And K.Michelle had Mona Scott [Young] call Memphitz to see if she [K.Michelle] could confront him about dumping her from his label, per Toya [his wife’s request] because she knew that Memphitz and K.Michelle were still having an intimate relationship. That’s how she got her record deal [with hitz committee]. Toya refused to do the show because K.Michelle’s on the show. Rasheeda is also on the show, along with her husband Kirk Frost.
Meanwhile, the show’s executive producer, Mona Scott-Young, says that all stories surrounding the new spin-off show are pure speculation. She tweeted:
According to Toya, “we” are thirsty and have it all wrong :)
