Dionne Warwick Chooses Not To Rate Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’, Says Song ‘Shouldn’t Be A Public Thing’
While Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is arguably the biggest song of 2024, Dionne Warwick recently suggested she’s not a fan.
The legendary singer shared her opinion while playing a game during a recent appearance on NPR. She was asked by host Emma Choi to listen to snippets of various songs and rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 Dionnes.
When Kendrick Lamar’s “certified loverboy, certified pedophile” lyrics played, Dionne Warwick made an interesting face.
Choi asked what her reaction was about and the “That’s What Friends Are For” singer explained, “This is the look of “Why?””
She added,
“I don’t think that this should be a public thing. So as far as I’m concerned, I’m not gonna rate this one.”
Meanwhile, she rated Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” 4.5 Dionnes and “Guess” by CharliXCX 4 stars.
