Videos from the tech event quickly circulated around the internet, and many couldn’t help but notice that the upcoming products from Tesla look a lot like the robots and vehicles featured in the 2004 film “I, Robot.”
The movie’s director, Alex Proyas, was among those who questioned the inspiration behind Elon’s designs. Posting on x a side-by-side of the robots and vehicles from the film next to the robots and vehicles Elon recently debuted, Alex Proyas wrote,
“Hey Elon, Can I have my designs back please?”

Elon has yet to respond to Proyas.
