Ariana Grande Weighs In On Cynthia Erivo’s Complaints Against Edited ‘Wicked’ Poster: ‘The Fans Are Gonna Have Fun’
Ariana Grande is backing her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.
As reported, Erivo recently slammed fans of the highly anticipated film, set to drop on Nov. 22, for editing the movie’s poster and making an AI clip of her character, Elphaba Thropp, getting into a fight with Galinda Upland, portrayed by Grande.

Over the weekend, while speaking with Variety at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, Grande weighed in on the fan edits and said,
“I think it’s very complicated because I find AI so conflicting and troublesome sometimes, but I think it’s just kind of such a massive adjustment period. This is something that is so much bigger than us, and the fans are gonna have fun and make their edits.”
When asked if sometimes things can go “too far,” she continued,
“I think so. And I have so much respect for my sister, Cynthia, and I love her so much. It’s just a big adjustment period.”
And added,
“It’s so much stimulation about something that’s so much bigger than us.”
