Manhattan D.A. Wants Judge To Postpone Trump’s Felony Sentencing Until After His Presidency Ends In 2029
President-elect Donald Trump may temporarily avoid consequences in his hush-money case.
Manhattan D.A., Alvin Bragg, whose office prosecuted the trial, reportedly penned a letter to a court judge in favor of postponing Trump’s sentencing, which is currently scheduled for November 26th.
He reportedly wrote:
“The People deeply respect the Office of the President, are mindful of the demands and obligations of the presidency, and acknowledge that Defendant’s inauguration will raise unprecedented legal questions.”

Bragg recommended that sentencing be paused until Trump’s 2nd term as president ends in 2029.
If you recall, the 45th president was convicted back in May on 34 felony charges for sending hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of his first presidential term.
Prosecutors successfully argued that Trump orchestrated the payments to keep Daniels quiet so that their romance wouldn’t impact his chance to be president.
Ultimately, the decision on his sentencing will be left up to the court judge who has not ruled on the matter at this time.
