Dame Dash’s Film Catalogue Could Be Auctioned Off To Settle Massive Debts
Dame Dash’s film catalogue could soon be up for auction.
Dame Dash‘s one-third stake in #RocAFellaRecords was recently sold at a federal auction for $1 million, with proceeds going toward back child support and his massive tax debt. However, the sale wasn’t enough to cover all his outstanding bills.
Court documents obtained by AllHipHop reveal that Dame Dash owes $823,284.71 to Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures following a defamation and copyright lawsuit over his alleged attempt to hijack the film Dear Frank.
To help satisfy his debt and other financial obligations, Dame Dash’s assets—including his Poppington business and the rights to films like We Went to… China, Welcome to Blackroc, and Honor Up—could soon be auctioned.
Webber and his lawyer, Christopher Brown, are urging the court to force Dash to surrender ownership documents for these assets to the U.S. Marshal, so they can be seized and sold.
