Bo Jackson Vacates $21 Million Judgment Against His Niece & Nephew In Extortion Case
Bo Jackson has vacated a $21 million judgment he won against his niece and nephew after reaching a private settlement in their legal dispute.
The former football and baseball star accused Thomas Lee Anderson and Erica Anderson of harassment and extortion, alleging they demanded $20 million through “threatening social media posts and messages and public allegations” that caused him severe emotional distress.
In February 2024, a judge ruled in Bo Jackson’s favor, granting a $21 million judgment and issuing a protective order requiring the Andersons to stay 500 yards away from him and his family. However, after two mediations, both parties reached a private agreement to resolve the matter.
On Wednesday (Jan. 15), Judge Jason D. Marbutt vacated the judgment at the request of all parties. The updated consent judgment dismissed the monetary award but reaffirmed that the Andersons must not harass or contact Bo Jackson and his family.
