Travis Kelce Shuts Down ‘False’ Reports That He Donated $3 Million To Combat Homelessness In Kansas City
Travis Kelce is setting the record straight about a hefty donation he allegedly made.
During an episode of his podcast New Heights, the Chiefs tight end addressed a report that claimed he donated $3.3 million to a Kansas City organization fighting homelessness. Confirming the report was completely fabricated, he said:
“Some false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not… I’m not even going to talk about it specifically. I don’t want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff.”
Kelce encouraged fans to follow his 87 and Running foundation to stay informed about his real charitable efforts, adding:
“We’re always trying to get out there, get in the Kansas City communities, in the Cleveland community.”

According to TMZ, an impostor organization falsely announced the alleged donation, writing:
“To see @killatrav use his platform to make a real difference for vulnerable youth…Travis is offering housing, mentorship, and educational resources, giving these youth the tools they need to move toward independence and break the cycle of homelessness.”
The story gained traction so quickly that popular sports broadcaster Pat McAfee reached out to Kelce, prompting the NFL star to address the situation on The Pat McAfee Show. Kelce later expressed appreciation for McAfee’s support, saying:
“So just wanted to set the record straight… Appreciate everybody for always trying to show love—especially Pat McAfee. He’s always trying to look out for the guys and women in the sports world.”
Are you surprised the false story about Travis Kelce’s donation blew up so fast?
