Lakers Star Luka Luka Doncic Donates $5,000 To Repair Vandalized Mural Honoring Kobe & Gigi Bryant
Luka Doncic has stepped in after a beloved Kobe and Gigi Bryant mural in Downtown Los Angeles was completely vandalized.
The mural, located on Main and 14th Street and created by L.A. artist Sloe Motions (aka Louie Palsino), originally featured the late Lakers legend holding and kissing his daughter Gigi. As you may recall, the two sadly passed away following a tragic helicopter crash in 2020.
Over the weekend, however, reports state someone tagged the mural almost completely in black and white spray paint, leaving only the top of Kobe’s head and an infinity symbol visible.

In response, the mural’s artist launched a GoFundMe to restore the piece, and thanks to Luka, the goal was quickly met. The NBA star donated $5,000. The Luka Doncic Foundation confirmed the generous gift by sharing a statement from Luka:
“Kobe is LA. He and Gigi mean so much to this city, to the Lakers organization and to me personally. I’m happy to do anything to help make sure he and his daughter are honored.”
