Rihanna Dragged Into $500 Million Legal Dispute Over Documentary Labeling Chris Brown A ‘Sexual Abuser’
Rihanna’s name is being dragged into Chris Brown’s $500 million defamation lawsuit.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, producers behind Chris Brown: A History of V*olence and Warner Bros. are pushing back against Chris’ claims that the doc falsely labeled him a “serial rap*st and s*xual ab*ser.” They argue the film is protected speech and submitted a series of news articles, including coverage of Chris’ 2009 felony a$$ault case involving Rihanna, as supporting evidence.

Michelle Taylor, one of the defendants, stated that one of the disputed comments in the doc stems from “widely-reported, fully disclosed, and undisputed facts regarding [Chris’] highly-publicized a$$ault of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, as well as numerous incidents of [Chris] thre@tening or v*olently a$$aulting others.”
The court filings also reference Karrueche Tran’s 5-year restraining order against Chris and his past altercation with Frank Ocean. Chris’ lawyer told the publication,
“Warner Bros.’ statements are nonsense… It is ridiculous to take the position that their actions do not constitute malice.”
