Trump Administration To Pay Immigrants In U.S. Illegally $1,000 To ‘Self-Deport’
Donald Trump’s administration is offering incentives for illegal immigrants to leave the U.S. voluntarily.
The Department of Homeland Security announced Monday (May 5) that it will provide $1,000 and travel assistance to individuals who use the CBP Home app to notify the government of their intent to self-deport. Those who sign up will be “deprioritized” for detention and removal by immigration enforcement.
