Rapper Noname’s Juneteenth Show At SummerStage Canceled One Week After Kehlani’s Pride Show Was Scrapped Over ‘Safety Concerns’
Noname’s Juneteenth show at SummerStage in NYC has been canceled with no explanation, just one week after Kehlani’s Pride show at the same concert series was also pulled.
Local outlet Hell Gate was the first to report the news, noting that Ticketmaster indicated the cancellation came from the event organizers.

Kehlani’s show was canceled after Mayor Eric Adams’ office raised “safety concerns” due to backlash over her criticism of Israel’s war in Gaza, which resulted in her Cornell University gig being pulled. However, the Mayor’s office told Hell Gate they had no involvement in Noname’s cancellation and referred questions to Live Nation.
It wouldn’t be surprising if politics played a role, as Noname has been vocal about her “socialist, left-leaning” views, according to Rolling Stone.
